Consumer Sciences majors complete a concentration in either family financial planning and counseling or consumer affairs. If you have an aptitude for social sciences and an interest in public policy and consumer issues, a major in Consumer Sciences could be an excellent option for you.  It is common for students studying Consumer Sciences to have a desire for helping people and an ability to plan and direct programs.
