Mandy Ward, ATC

Mandy Ward is a Graduate Assistant in The University of Alabama athletic department where she serves as the certified athletic trainer for the Women’s Volleyball Team.

Mandy graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida in 2002.  She was a competitive gymnast for 13 years, and her interest in gymnastics carried over to her love of athletic training.  While at the University of Florida she served as the athletic training student for the University of Florida gymnastics team, and for the past 4 summers she has worked as an Athletic Trainer at International Gymnastics Camp in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.  In addition, Mandy has worked various University of Florida volleyball camps, and also worked an invitation only volleyball clinic at International Sports Training Camp in the summer of 2003. Upon graduation, she worked at Naples Community Wellness Center as the certified athletic trainer covering Lely High School. 

Currently, Mandy is pursuing a Master of Science degree in General Human Environmental Sciences.  Her research interests include nutritional knowledge and attitudes of collegiate gymnasts.  Mandy’s career aspirations include teaching at the college level.
