Course Description

CSM 486/586 is an exploration of the field of employee assistance (EA). Students will understand the history and development of the EA concept, the practice of EA, current streams of development, and issues relevant to the profession.

 

Course Objectives

To provide the student with an overview of employee assistance programs. The student will learn the history, management, and philosophy of employee assistance. The student will have an understanding of the origins of EAP, the development of the EAP movement, contemporary practices, modifications, professional issues, and current developments.
