CSM 201 INDIV FAMILY RESOURC MGT

Course Description

A study and application of the management concepts that are an integral part of the family decision-making process and of the allocation of resources to achieve goals.

 

Course Objectives

       analyze the family as an ecological system consisting of a biological, physical, and social environment.

 

       identify personal and family goals, classify available resources, formulate alternatives, and predict possible outcomes.

 

       understand how decision making relates to and is organized within the overall process by which individuals and families manage.

 

       understand basic principles of management and apply them to personal and family situations.

 

       determine how different stages in the family life cycle affect individual goals.

 

       evaluate family management in terms of values and goal attainment.
