CSM 530 FAMILY AND CONSUMER LAW

Credit Hours:  3 hrs.

 

Course Description

The study of family and consumer law on specific issues of marriage, parent/child relationships, divorce and the economic consequences of divorce as well as consumerism and a general understanding of legal terms, resources and the legal system as well as its adversarial proceedings.

 

Course Objectives

1.       explore and discuss issues of family and consumer law on specific topics of marriage, parent/child relationships, divorce and the economic consequences of divorce.

2.       acquire a general understanding of the legal system and its adversarial proceedings.

3.       identify and gain knowledge in basic legal terminology and resources relating to domestic law situations.
