Minimum admission requirements for admission to the Health Studies
Program are specified by the College of Human Environmental Sciences and
the Graduate School at the University of Alabama. For unconditional
admission students must meet the following criteria:
Grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Submit three letters of recommendation. One should be from a former
professor who can assess your potential to do graduate work.
A statement of purpose consistent with the mission of the Health Studies
Program.
Two official copies of all college transcripts.
Complete the applicant data sheet.
Pay the application fee ($25.00) if not a non-degree student.
For conditional admission to the program, students must meet the
following criteria:
Overall grade point average of 2.5-2.9
Take the MAT or the GRE.
Have professional experience
Submit a professional portfolio with a detailed resume and a sample of
professional work
Submit three letters of recommendation. One should be from a former
professor who can assess your potential to do graduate work.
A statement of purpose consistent with the mission of the Health Studies
Program.

Pay the application fee ($25.00) if not a non-degree student.
