The students helped with everything from venue preparation and guest check-in to assisting in VIP areas, assisting with outfit changes and working with the media. They socialized with models, photographers and designers during NOLA Fashion Week’s Kick Off Party and the exclusive After Party.

Congratulations to HES Alum, Dr. Judy Bonner, for being elected president of The University of Alabama.

Statement from Dr. Robert E. Witt, chancellor of The University of Alabama System:

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Judy Bonner has been unanimously elected president of The University of Alabama effective immediately.

Having had the pleasure of working with Dr. Bonner for the last 10 years, I can say firsthand that she is one of the most intelligent, well-focused and forward-thinking academic administrators in the nation. She began her career at the Capstone in 1981 and has achieved the highest measure of excellence as a faculty member, department chair, dean, executive vice president and provost, and most recently as interim president.

Please join me in congratulating President Bonner on her election. She is a tremendous asset to The University of Alabama, The University of Alabama System, and the state of Alabama.

This year’s honorees included Lauren Leonard Phelps, Eric J. Law, Kyle B. Whittington, Jen M. Neese, Joann Smith Wissinger, Antonia S. Mead, B. Jan McCulloch, Rylee E. Marsh, Kathleen D. Hilgendorf and Pamela J. Morgan.

The awards are presented annually to outstanding CHES alumni for their professional accomplishments. Dr. Jack Davis, a well-known dentist in Tuscaloosa and the first male graduate of the College, was a pioneer in emphasizing nutrition and dentistry.
