Scholarships
Applications for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation scholarships are available on-line from their web site: www.nraef.org. Each scholarship award is $2,000. Awards are available to U.S. citizens attending school in the U.S. Must have a GPA of 2.75, be currently enrolled and have completed at least one term of a restaurant/foodservice related program; have a minimum of 750 hours of work experience in the restaurant and foodservice industry verified by pay stubs of letters from employers; and submit one to three letters of recommendation on letterhead from a current or previous employer. Application deadlines are available from you advisor.
The Red Diamond Scholarship of $6,000 is awarded to two RHM students during May each year. Application deadline is April 1st.
Many other scholarships are available during the academic year and RHM faculty will announce deadlines for applications in class and deadlines will be posted on the RHM news page: www.ches.ua.edu/rhm
Applications for scholarships are available from the RHM Departmental Secretary in Room 206 Doster Hall.
